Doug discovered the acting profession in his 40's, when he applied to be a writer for a Chicago cable show. He began performing his skits and then he was “hooked”. His first acting role was Father Mancinni in the long running play Late Nite Catechism at the Ivanhoe Theatre, where he appeared for one year. Then just like Jed Clampett he moved to California. Since then he has taken many courses including one year with Howard Fine, at the Howard Fine Studio at The Hollywood Playhouse. He has appeared as Keith Giordano in ABC’s General Hospital, and again on GH as Finola Hughes’ spy boss. He had a role on NBC’s Passions, playing a trial lawyer. Doug also appeared as prison psychiatrist
Doctor Kenneth Foster on Discovery Channels' Reasonable Doubt. Doug has appeared in numerous commercials, independent films, and LA Film School projects.
Doug was born in the rough area of Chicago’s near north side. He started his first business at 9 years old, attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, started then sold several businesses and also received his Juris Doctor degree from U. of I. Doug practiced law for several years then became a Cook County State’s Attorney. ( i.e. District Attorney Chicago) where he presented hundreds of cases to the Grand Jury and prosecuted criminal trials by judge and jury.
Currently Doug is back in prison working as Superintendent Peak in John Borowski’s film, Panzram, a feature documentary film about an American made serial killer T.B.R. 2009.
